San Francisco Cable Cars

Was walking on Hyde Street and the cabel car just passed by and I aws able to catch this shot right at the corner of Hyde Street nad Washington where the cable.

We were there in the early 80s when the cable cars were uot of commission for two years while they restored the entire line (we have pcitures of the excavated streets exposing the cable system) . .... One of the new hybrid electric MUNI buses, followed by a Smart Car we swa on the street. San Francisco, not suprrisingly, is ahead of ther curve in reducing fuel consmuption. We saw many mores regular cars and much fewer SUVs and trucks on the road out in Califonria. ...
